A devout homemade horse treat recipe next to simple ingredients?

Whenever I look them up on the internet they always hold so many complicated ingredients, not something that my home would usually have within the household for cooking. (Such as molasses.) Anybody know any good ones that horses love?

1)Put 2 cups of raisin bran surrounded by a bowl and crush the flakes until small. Add 1 cups of dried apple pieces and 1 1/3 cup corn syrup or lard(your choice) into the bowl. Mix. Pour into ice trays and place surrounded by freezer. Take out next sunshine and feed.

you dont even have to craft them.they are $1.50 in the grocery store. The do not find soggy like carrot and horses love them (dogs too!)
