If a snake can dislocate its jaw to eat an egg, could you train a lizard to do the same?

Answers:
Yes..it's easy, just use a car-jack and a tennis ball.
yes
No

The same way as you couldn't train anything to do something that it's not physically capable of doing.
why would you want to
try it and let us know..lol
no. the reason a snake can do this is because its jaw is seperated into 4 parts. a lizards jaw like all other things is only 2 parts. so it cant do this. i like ur thinking coleboy.
Not really - a snake's jaw is built to dislocate but a lizard's isn't.
ya right, just stand on the little guy everyday & seperate his little jaw, & maybe in a month or 2 he will have a mouth that will fit ur big egg head in it.
No ya nutter!
no
A LIZARD DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME DENTAL MAKE - UP AS THAT OF A SANKE, SO THE ANSWER IS NO, YOU CANNOT
No. If the jaw isn't designed to be dislocated then it never will without hurting the animal.

More importantly - why on earth would you want to?
Can you break and rejoin your joints? If you tried really really hard could you? Could you be trained to do it?
Please don't play with lizards. Especially do not play poker with lizards, they may outsmart you.
No
that is not true tha a snake can dislocate its jaw, i have heard that for years and there is no truth in it at all. he its jaw can move up and down or back and forth to eat something big but that's it.
no , not made that way
No, of course not. Snakes aren't trained to eat like that, it's how they eat. D'oh!
I suggest you try it yourself with a football and then if you manage it try it with a lizard.
They aren't trained to do that. Their jaws are specially made for it. Could I train you to dislocate your jaws and swallow a whole turkey?
no
Sure you can teach a lizard to dislocate its jaw. It will only take roughly 65 million years. Its called adaption not a trick. But some lizards can do this like the monitor, also an egg eater. but that is all.
